about

Originally constructed in 1920, the building was home to the Central Paper Box Company and the production of paper and box related packaging for brands such as Hershey, York Peppermint Patty, Case knives, and many more.

Today, the four-story building, located in the historic east side of Lancaster, has been converted to condominiums and is now known as Box Company Flats. A testament to how a space can completely change your mindset and way of life. We believe our building has a unique energy. It’s a constant source of inspiration to all who live here as well as to those who visit.

We come from diverse backgrounds and beliefs that support and encourage each other. Each owner has brought their own creative spin to their flat. We love our beautifully imperfect building and we’re strongly rooted in support of our city.

From stories about love notes stashed within a stairwell decades ago to a 100-year-old elevator that still runs to distinctive columns supporting each floor, we are art-inspired living nestled within the city.
